MyShuk - Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

TERMS OF SERVICE

Last updated: October 11, 2026

These Terms are an agreement between you and MyShuk (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the MyShuk app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use MyShuk.

1. What MyShuk is

MyShuk is a community marketplace. People post items for sale, homes for rent or sale, jobs, and local business profiles. MyShuk is a platform only. We are not a buyer, seller, landlord, employer, or service provider, and we are not a party to any deal between users.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 18. You must give accurate information and keep your login private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

3. Your content

You own what you post (text, photos, videos, listings, reviews). You give MyShuk a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, copy and share it inside the app and in links to it, so we can run the service. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups kept for a short period and content other users have already saved or shared.

You promise that you have the right to post it, that it is true and not misleading, and that it does not break the law or anyone’s rights.

4. Rules

You may not post or do any of the following:

We may remove content, limit features, or suspend accounts that break these rules or that we reasonably think are harmful. We do not have to review content before it appears.

5. Dealing with other users

All deals are between users. You decide whether to trust someone, meet, pay, or hire. Meet in a safe public place, check items before paying, and be careful with payments and personal information. We do not inspect items, check identities or licences, guarantee any listing, business, home, job, or person, or handle payments between users. Any in-app messaging is available for Marketplace listings only. For homes, jobs and businesses, contact is by the phone, WhatsApp, or other details the poster chooses to show.

6. Businesses

Business profiles are created by the business owner or someone they authorise. The owner is responsible for the profile being accurate, including name, address or service area, hours, services, prices, photos and any kosher or other certification claims (for example hashgacha). MyShuk does not verify those claims unless the app clearly says a profile is verified. Ratings and reviews are opinions of users, not of MyShuk.

7. Jobs and homes

Job and home posters are responsible for following laws on employment, discrimination, fair housing and licensing that apply to them. Do not post anything that illegally discriminates. MyShuk is not an employer, agent, broker or landlord.

8. Contact through WhatsApp and phone

If you show a phone number or WhatsApp link on a post or profile, anyone who sees the post can contact you through it. Only add contact details you are happy to make visible. Do not use another user’s contact details for anything except the post they were shown on.

9. Location

Some features use your ZIP code or the area a business serves, for example to show nearby listings. Do not post your private home address on a public profile unless you want people to see it.

10. Reporting and blocking

You can report content or block users in the app. We will look at reports and act where we think it is right, but we cannot promise to remove everything or to respond to every report.

11. Fees

MyShuk is free to use at this time. Some business features may become paid in the future, and ads may appear in the app. Any paid feature will be per business. If we add paid features we will tell you the price before you pay, and you will only be charged if you agree.

12. Ending your account

You can delete your account in Settings at any time. That deletes your posts and data as described in the Privacy Policy. We can suspend or end accounts that break these Terms.

13. No warranty

MyShuk is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise it will always work, be error-free, or be available, or that any content is accurate.

14. Limits on our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, MyShuk and its owner are not responsible for losses that come from deals between users, content posted by users, or things that happen when people meet. To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid MyShuk in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms. If a change is important we will tell you in the app. Using MyShuk after a change means you accept it.

16. Law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state and federal courts located in Ocean County, New Jersey, unless the law says otherwise.

PRIVACY POLICY

Last updated: October 11, 2026

This explains what MyShuk collects, why, and your choices. MyShuk is run by MyShuk. Contact: myshukapp@gmail.com.

1. What we collect

2. How we use it

To run the app, show your posts to other users, let people contact you, show listings near you, keep the service safe (reports, blocking, spam checks), fix problems, and improve MyShuk. We do not sell your personal information. Ads may appear in the app in the future. If they do, we will update this policy and will not give advertisers your personal information.

3. What other people can see

Anything you post publicly can be seen by other users and may be saved or shared by them: your name, profile photo, listings, business profile, photos and videos, reviews, your area (from your ZIP, shown as town and state, not the ZIP itself), and any phone number or WhatsApp link you chose to display. Messages are visible only to the people in the conversation, and to us if needed to deal with a report or legal request.

4. Who we share with

5. Photos, videos, and permissions

The app asks for access to your photos or videos only when you choose to add them. It may ask for your location (only while the app is open) to find your ZIP code, and in the future for permission to send notifications. You can turn permissions off in your phone settings.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account in Settings we delete your profile, listings, homes, jobs, businesses, statuses, saved items and conversations. Some copies may remain in backups for a short time, and other users may keep copies of things you already sent or shared.

7. Your choices

You can edit or delete your posts, change what your profile shows, hide your phone number, block users, turn off notifications, and delete your account, all in the app. You can also use our account deletion page. To ask for a copy of your data or for anything else, contact myshukapp@gmail.com.

8. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your data, such as encrypted connections and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee it.

9. Children

MyShuk is not for anyone under 18. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 18 we will delete it.

10. Where data is stored

Your data may be stored and processed in the United States or other countries where our providers operate.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. If a change is important we will tell you in the app.
